http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=fvwrel&v=eFu37kU89a4 Ive never seen this pic before--both Flo and Mary front and center. Why was this more typical for European releases? To pacify them? Were their foreign language versions hits?

There were two Italian and four German language singles issued and I can`t find any records of chart action for any of them. The illustrations seem to be rarer ones too.

Just to clarify, there was just 1 Italian language and 2 German language 45's. Each 45 had 2 tracks

"Thank You, Darling"/"Jonny Und Joe" = Recorded & released 1965
"Moonlight and Kisses"/"Baby, Baby, Wo Ist Unsere Liebe" = Recorded & released 1965

"L’Amore Verrą"/"Se Il Filo Spezzerai" [[also called "Chi Mi Aiuterą") = Recorded December 1966, released spring 1967

All tracks feature Diana, Florence, Mary.

I don't believe these singles charted, or if they did, there is no evidence of it.
There are also several different mixes of the songs included on numerous releases, including, "Motown Around the World" [[disc release from 1990, I believe), "Nero Italiano" [[1988), and the expanded, re-release of "Motown Around the World: The Classic Singles" [[2010), which feature original mixes of these releases.

Did there English versions chart? -- they apparently were big in Sweeden, France...

From what I read in the Supremes' Box Set, these singles - even the English - were not-charting, unless they charted on minor, regional charts particular to the country in which the singles were released in. I wish "Thank You, Darling" and "Moonlight & Kisses" had been released in the States, since they're great track.s

"Johnny und Joe" was actually "Come See About Me".

Correct. "Baby, Baby, Wo Ist..." is "Where Did Our Love Go."
"L'Amore Verra" = "You Can't Hurry Love."
"Se Il Filo Spezzerai" = "You Keep Me Hangin' On."

The Italian tracks were also issued on a stereo album. 5186

They had many hits in Canada thanks to CKLW and CHUM among other popular radio stations.

There isn't a title....unless you can see something from these scans. My scanner is only the English A4 I'm afraid
