Sad to hear the news. To be honest, the thing I remember most about him was his slightly more than a month marriage to Ethel Merman. The media made as big a story of their short marriage as they did of the Kardashian 72 day marriage. Years later, I was reading Ethel Merman's biography and it had a chapter in it called "My Marriage to Ernest Borgnine" The chapter consisted of one blank page. I cracked up. RIP.
