Amazed to stumble over a unique live video of Walter Jackson performing "Feelings"!!!!!!!

Quality isn't brilliant; nevertheless this is of historic significance to any Walter fan

Agreed.

I think the clip is of special interest as being the unique and only video record of Walter Jackson available. Notwithstanding the very poor quality, I was really pleased to at least a video of the man remained. His recording legacy is superb.

I believe that video was taken at the High Chaparral Night Club. I used to frequent that club quite a bit during this time period. For those who don't know the band "War" recorded their live double album there. I was there the night they recorded it. This club was also a showcase club for Chicago based talent, The Dells, Chilites, Gene Chandler and many others would appear there. Don Cornelius was there routinely and The Scott Brothers were the house Band. The place was vast and they had a separate lounge/bar in the back of the club for jazz. And of course I saw Mr. Jackson there several times. The place was razed some years ago and is a vacant lot now, but I sure miss it, even after all these years.

Hi paladin,

I envy you seeing all those great acts in those great days and in their heartland. Tell us more about Walter if you want to share some memories of him. I have collected everything I can by him - sadly never got to see him, although I have read many times he was a great showman. The clip does him no justice at all, but it is the only video I have ever seen of him and I'm grateful for that.

Nobody did heartbreak quite like Walter. A unique voice. Thanks for the clip [[don't think I've ever seen a picture of him wearing a 'natural') and the youtube Welcome Home clip, which I don't think is on the only CD I have by him.

Yeah Mike I thought his commentary was hilarious, Walter Jackson must have been there too, if you look closely those same funky azz paper bells are hanging from the stage. Now I aint calling him a liar but he just may have mis-remembered.....lol......... alos note that another person said it looked like the High Chapparal...
