About a month or so ago I posted about The Jacksons UNITY tour and asked would my fellow SDF members attend. Most said no and one even went as far as to say it would be like going to see The Pips without Gladys and I agreed. I've seen them do a few interviews on television to promote the tour but no performances. I viewed a few clips on youtube and it looks like the brothers are doing their thing and pleasing the crowds. They look really good for 50 plus year old men and they are looking very stylish without looking dated. I enjoyed the clips and wish I would have went [[they were here in Detroit last week). It's also good to see Jermaine the artist and not the media whore he's been over the last few years. Ladies and Gents...THE JACKSONS

Told you "The Brothers" are special. Jermaine could always bring it. Mike wasn't the only dancer and Tito could play the hell out his axe back when he was 18 years old. This is a family of entertainers who's trump card turned out to be one of the best of the best. But, that never meant the rest of The Jacksons weren't worth watching.

Check out that live stuff from when The Jacksons were teenagers and take a look around at the teenaged musicians in your area. There's no comparison. Most teenaged bands couldn't hold the attention of 20 people [[who weren't their parents) for more than twenty minutes. The Jacksons, as teenagers, were rocking 20K houses. These guys know how to put on a good show and they've been pros for a long time. Don't sell 'em short.

I watched this clip with a big smile on my face!!! I should have gone to the Apollo to see the Jacksons and experience the love that the Apollo audience showered on the brothers.

Here's a great clip from their concert the other night in Ontario, Canada. People can say what they want about Jermaine Jackson, but dude can SING!!!

Great stuff.

But, these guys have been killin' for long time now. Try out this vintage Jackson 5 as nature intended. All the music and voices on stage are just them, Randy, Johnny Jackson and Ronnie Rancifer. No one on stage in this clip is older than 23 and this group is as pro as it gets [[Jermaine's bass lines are especially good here and he's only 18)
