We all know that Johnny Nash had his hands in a few labels in the mid to late '60's...Jomada, Jocida, Joda and JAD. I did a Wikipedia search for Nash and found out that JAD was co-owned by him and a guy named Danny Sims [[I assume that JAD stood for Johnny And Danny).
My question is this...who were the partners in the other labels? It's a safe bet that Joda is an amalgam of JOhnny and DAnny...but who was the 'ma' in Jomada and the 'ci' in Jocida?
I'm certain this is something lost to the sands of time, but it's quite fascinating to me, being a fan of Johnny's. Thanks in advance for any input! :)
