I loved Edith and Archie and it seemed to show real life.

M*A*S*H premiered in 1972 and the Jeffersons in 1975. The classic lineup you mention included M*A*S*H in the 8:30 slot for the 1973/74 season. The Jeffersons aired at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday nights for the 75/76 and 76/77 seasons. The halarious Carol Burnett Show aired every Saturday @10 PM for 5 straight years until their last season in 77/78. Thanks guys...some great memories.

The first test pilot for AITF was called AND JUSTICE FOR. Justice was the family name before they changed it to the Bunkers. The kids were played by different actors

The classic Friday lineup on ABC was the one to watch when I was a kid in the early 70s:

7:00 PM The Brady Bunch
7:30 PM The Partridge Family
8:00 PM Room 222
8:30 PM The Odd Couple
9:00 PM Love, American Style

That was the lineup I most remember. At some points there was a sitcom called "Barefoot In The Park" that didn't last long.

All in the Family is also on the Antenna Cable Channel which shows lots of the old shows from the 50’s, 60s and 70’s. I discovered Adam 12 recently on that channel and I love that show.

The only ones I watch was "Family Ties" and "Hill Street Blues". If I was really bored, i'd watch "Night Court". But, I had an evening college class on Thursday at that time, so I got home just in time for "Hill Street Blues".

The only reason I didn't tape "Hill Street Blues" in those days is because I didn't yet own a VCR. I didn't get one until 1984.
