Howdy there, Pardners! Hope you had a better week than Obama and Romney did [[although I AM hoping that Roney's get much worse)! Tonight...it's been a long time....months even...since I've done an extended version show. Well....guess what? Tonight....and "Extended Version" show! You all know that I create these extended versions because, when these original songs were released...they were too damn short!...and to also show off the instrumentation that had gotten hidden in the original track.

A whole show's worth of new and redone ones [[there were a couple I wasn't happy with...now I am [[*smile). We've got Motown...Vandellas, Tops, Supremes, Shorty long, Jackson 5, Jr Walker....and many non-Motown remixes too! So do join me tonight for the unveiling of "Everything Old is New Again"...my extended versions...on "Nightflight"...on WOMR 92.1 FM Provincetown and WFMR 91.3 FM Orleans and streaming live worldwide in digital stereo at www.womr.org [[http://www.womr.org/)
Thanks! John

From AllMusic
"Though Matt Monro is known best to worldwide audiences as the voice of one of the best James Bond themes, "From Russia with Love," the British vocalist produced a lifetime of great work. Often criticized as a second-rate Sinatra imitation because of his light, expressive style of swing, Monro hit the British Top Ten frequently during the 1960s but managed only two moderate hits in America.'

Why , I didn't know that! The way he kept accenting the words 'for us' was a bit odd to my taste.

Thanks for this classic Linda track! :)

Which classic Linda Ronstadt track received the extended treatment?
I don't mean to quibble, but as both a long-time Motown fan and a Linda Ronstadt fan, when I hear Linda talk about her old material, I feel she is putting herself down more than anything. I think she is such a perfectionist that she doesn't like to revisit those albums/songs. Linda will say that if it isn't something that she heard when she was a little kid [[so, that would mean standards and Spanish songs, among others) that she doesn't sing it very well. I find that very humble. Yes, I knew of her from "Different Drum" on and first saw her in concert in 1974 and continued to see her almost 40 times until 2004.
Anyone have a setlist from the show?
