I am listening to the new Phil Collins album " Going Back" which is his tribute to Motown.

It features Bob Babbitt, Eddie Willis and Ray Monette . The tracks are.

01. Girl [[Why You Wanna Make Me Blue)

02. [[Love Is Like A) Heatwave

03. Uptight [[Everything's Alright)

04. Some Of Your Lovin'

05. Ain't To Proud To Beg*

06. In My Lonely Room

07. Take Me In Your Arms [[Rock Me For A Little While)

08. Blame It On The Sun

09. Papa Was A Rolling Stone

10. Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer

11. Standing In The Shadows Of Love

12. You've Been Cheatin'*

13. Don't Look Back*

14. Too Many Fish In The Sea**

15. You Really Got a Hold On Me*

16. Do I Love You

17. Jimmy Mack

18. Something About You

19. Love Is Here And Now You're Gone

20. Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever

21. Ain't That Peculiar*

22. You Keep Me Hangin’ On**

23. Going To A Go-Go

24. Nowhere to Run*

25. Talking About My Baby

26. Dancing in the Street*

27. Tears Of A Clown**

28. Too Busy Thinking About My Baby**

29. Going Back

It's excellent in every respect but one... sadly that is Mr Collins himself!

Just listen if you can to Uptight...You really start to get excited during the intro...and then he sings.

What a shame. He's a great talent but he can't sing any more!

So nearly good, what a pity.

Hello

I have to reply to this post.

At least Phil Collins has the name to draw the crowd,
the musical ability to carry this off,
and the way with the tour promoters
to do this tour and give our guys a
PAYING GIG.

I am looking forward to this album - shame he didn't team up with Diana Ross for a Motown duet remake for the album. A duet like this would be much better for Diana than the Westlife effort.
