Universal goes after a music blogger

It doesn't matter that he's got every right to do what he planned. The threat of going to court to defend it against a media giant with near endless resources could easily break the blogger. That's to say nothing of if they find a sympathetic judge who could use a little campaign funding boost prior to election season and he actually loses a lawsuit.

Smart of him to drop his plans, but unfortunate that he has to. REM was a phenomenal band and it's too bad their fans won't have the opportunity to hear them in their formative stage until someone buys the rights to the demos, remasters them, and puts them on i-Tunes.
