Here is a recent interview with Maryin Australia promoting her Lena Horne Show. I think the concert will - or eventually will - be broadcast on the Australian Broadcast Company, so maybe it will find its way to YouTube. As we discussed in another thread, all our favorite performers seem to have a little trouble remembering dates, events and places. Mary does it again in this interview while discussing The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. She says that the Queen was crowned about the same time that The Supremes became divas. She was off by over a decade. In 1952, The Supremes were only about eight years old.

Mary Wilson was a founding member of the legendary Motown singing group The Supremes.

She was there when they had a dozen number one hits and set a record for a singing group.

Mary Wilson is in Adelaide for the Cabaret Festival to perform her tribute to another pioneering African American singer.

Mary dropped into the 891 studios with writer James Gavin to discuss her extraordinary career and its latest chapter performing “Stormy Weather: The Lena Horne Project.”
