I have absolutely no idea where this falls in the grand scheme of life, the universe, and everything but Mike McGrady, editor of one of the great literary hoaxes of our time, "Naked Came The Stranger", passed away Sunday at the age of 79.
As you may remember, the best selling soft porn novel from 1969, credited to Penelope Ashe, was the work of something like 19 different Newsday writers, each writing a chapter without consulting with the other authors on anything except an outline of the basic plot. Mr. McGrady's obit explains it all in only the way the New York Times can....
