I was probably too busy dancing my ass off back in the day when Gloria had the hit, and although I was aware of the lyrics, I just did not pay too much attention to them. Diana currently ends her show with it, but she does not do it justice.
Gladys puts her heart and soul into the lyric and forces you to be aware of the lyrics. Its always been a great song, but she makes it even greater. I love the slow downed tempo.
