*Spoiler Alert*!!!
If you don't want to know:
1. ...were Tammi Terrell's final duets with Marvin Gaye completed by Valerie Simpson?
2. ...why Mary Wilson REALLY didn't want Syreeta to be a Supreme...
3. ...the truth about Blinky's involvement with "Lady Sings The Blues"...
4. ...how Blinky got her name...
....and SO MUCH MORE...don't tune in tonight!

Hey there, Folks! Tonight, on "Nightflight"...a re-broadcast of my Nov. 2006 interview with the remarkable Sondra "Blinky" Williams. My friend Blinky was more candid than she wanted to be as we talked about her career before, during, and after her time with Motown. We focus mostly on her Motown years and her thoughts and feelings about so many of the artists she knew and became friends with. Blinky's first cd compilation will be released on Reel Music in a few months, and I thought it was time to remind folks that, althought her time with Motown wasn't extraordinarily long, she was an important part of the Motown Family during the 60's and into the early seventies. Blinky's late husband, William Powell, was present and involved in the interview. He is dearly missed.
So join me tonight for a reprise of almost 3 hours with BLINKY...on "Nightflight"...on WOMR 92.1 FM Provincetown and streaming live worldwide at www.womr.org [[http://www.womr.org)
Thanks!
John

That was an excellent interview, Johnny. I look forward to hearing it again. I trust you will be playing some of those Blinky tracks tonight that won't be on the upcoming Reel Music project. CU on the radio:-)

Joseph,
Thank you for the Jaynett's track. You truly made my day.

Can I ask how many tracks will be on the Blinky set? Aren't there enough Motown recordings by the Blinkster to fill up at least two cds?

You're welcome Jim. I'm glad I remembered correctly:-)

Jim- From what I understand REEL only releases complete albums, not compilations. I believe Blinky's CD is going to be an unreleased Motown album. Johnny knows more.

A Blinky release of no more than 12 tracks is bittersweet.

Time to see a doctor, you may need some antibio's. There's a lot folk with respitory issues right now. Better to be safe.

Four-five albums in the can on the Blinkster. It would make for a nicely stuffed double-disc set.

So Midnight, do we know if Blinky and HW ever had a conersation about her unreleased material? Do we know exactly how many songs there are?

So Midnight, do we know if Blinky and HW ever had a conersation about her unreleased material? Do we know exactly how many songs there are?

Ross...I'm not sure if She and Harry ever talked. Blinky said that from her recollection, she recorded possibly 75 tracks. All the Motown artists of which I have asked that question [[and in each interview, I make a point to ask it), none can say exactly. And then, no one seems to know how many songs are in the vaults for a particular artist or group...because, as we see, more and more are being found.
