Besides the obvious family groups, such as the Jackson 5, The Pointer Sisters and DeBarge, can you think of any "siblings" that were signed at Motown?

I can come up with:

Vernessa Mitchell and Barbara Mitchell [[High Inergy)
Martha Reeves and Lois Reeves [[Vandellas)
Brenda Holloway and Patrice Holloway

Claudette, and more prominently, probably even today, still a Miracle, Bobby Rogers [[OK, last I seen, Claudette was back too, but there was a LONG peroid she wasn't).

Claudette and Bobby are cousins, not siblings.

Both of Smokey's nephews. I forget their names at the moment but I believe they were Keith and Darrell. They performed as a group.

Keith Larnell Burston and Darrell Littlejohn are Smokey Robinson's nephews, but
the bloodline didn't help the duo become successful recording artists. Robinson
decided to produce his nephews as well as his backing singers, Quiet Storm, but
Motown treated both projects as communicable diseases. The first Keith & Darrell
single, "Feel the Fever" b/w "Things You're Made Of," was scheduled for release
in late 1979, but only promo copies resulted, and the company backed away from
the Burston/Littlejohn/Dwight Thomas tune.

Now if you really know your Motown/Detroit history, their last names should sound somewhat familiar to you..........

I don't know. They made one guest appearance on Soul Train with Smokey and one on our local television dance show...."The Scene" in Detroit and that was it! Smokey was promoting them almost as hard as he is this group "Human Nature" from Australia.

Was BERRY GORDY ever "signed" to Motown?

If so we would have to include him and his brother Robert .. a.k.a. BOB KAYLI ..

Hmmmm....that's a tough one. I know Mrs. Hardaway was a songwriter and co-wrote I Was Made to Love Her, but I think Marybrewster meant siblings, but sure.

Keith and Darrell's 1981 Tamla release "You're My Gardener" is a classic Smokey Robinson composition.

I don't think this can apply, but....

Freda Payne and Scherrie Payne

Even though Freda wasn't signed to Motown, she did record several demos [["Save Me A Star" being one) under the guidance of Berry Gordy in the early days of Motown.

The Emotions joined Motown in 1985 and recorded the album If I Only Knew - the line-up at this time was Sheila and Wanda Hutchinson with Adrianna Harris. Two singles were lifted off the album - Miss Your Love and If I Only Knew Then [[What I Know Now).
