She was wearing a giant fur coat!

Do we know for sure that it's real? I can't tell myself. But I remember reading something a while back where Diana mentioned that she worked so hard to afford a real fur, but didn't know how she currently felt about wearing one due to animal rights, etc.

I'm with you, Skool. I am the biggest animal lover in the world, but I feel no need to inflict my views on others by destroying someone elses' property. It could be DR bought that coat before fur became "uncool." Destroying it isn't going to bring those mink back! I am a true environmentalist, but this kind of bullying behavior turns people off.

Chiming in here. That's a fabulous fake. Dennis Basso, if I'm not mistaken. I couldn't wait to grow up to wear fur. Fur has saved my life on many an occasion on the road, around the world. I have worked hard, paid for fur coats, but I wouldn't buy another. I have great fakes that are so glamourous, and I try to be sensitive to others feelings. But if I decide to wear what I bought and paid for and see anybody coming at me with a paint can, have no doubt. You will be beat down by a small, yet surprisingly agile Susaye. Try me. Peta are terrorists.

I just adore you, Susaye. That comment made me laugh out loud, if only because I remember being a baby drag queen, DREAMING of my first Bob Mackie. To me, owning one would signal that I had "arrived". Years later, I have not one but TWO "Mackies", although the jury is still out on my arrival, *smile*

Since we're on the topic, it's well known that Mary has a touring "gown" collection from the fabulous and fierce Supremes; Susaye, I'm curious to know: do you still have any dresses/accessories from your days as a Supreme?

And I suppose I should mention, while I DO have two "Mackies", they are, in fact, from his QVC "wearable art" collection.....but I don't feel anything less than Cher when I have them on! ;)

I am okay with eating meat because we evolved to do that--but I think cattle and pigs and such should be treated humanely while they are alive. We can simulate fur so I see no reason to raise animals for their fur anymore.
