Released in 1970 from a concert at Yankee Stadium in 69...a live double LP was issued on T-Neck featuring some of the performances [[ i particularly like the Brooklyn Bridge Impressions medley...but as a Johnny Maestro fan i'm biased)...attached a scan of the film poster...i cant trace the film ever making it to Video /DVD....has anyone ever seen it?....considering the line up im sure it would be of interest to Soul fans.[[and Johnny Maestro fans}...

Isley Bros
Patty Austin
Brooklyn Bridge
Edwin Hawkins Singers
Jackie "Moms" Mabley
Five Stairsteps + Cubie
Ike +Tina Turner Revue
Clara Ward Singers
Judy White
Winstons
Young Gents

the film was 2 hours long......

I'd love to find this and the album. I've never heard of it until just now!

I believe the album is just called LIVE AT YANKEE STADIUM or something similar. And not all of the acts made it to the soundtrack album.

The soundtrack is much easier to find than the film. I saw the film some years ago. Someone I knew, was able to locate the film. He found the film at a movie house in California, that was about to be demolished. He had the film restored, and showed it at a event. He later sold the film to some Japanese investors . :[[
I've been waiting for years,to see if this film will ever see the light of day,as a DVD release. [[but I doubt very seriously that it will)

More more thing I should add, the late George "Paco" Patterson,[[who was the music director for the Isleys, during the late 60s and early 70s) was at the screening.

thanks for the info Gee Tee...via some research i believe a truncated version was shown in Europe [[90 mins)....i sent an mp3 to Brooklyn Bridge of their medley last year via a doowop friend..someone should suggest a DVD release to the Isleys...

You're welcome. I'm sure someone have suggested releasing on DVD to the Isleys. [[that is,if they still have the rights and ownership of the video)

Though Patti Austin didn't make it onto the soundtrack LP,
this image of her on the show was used to publicise the film !!

You could catch a good double bill at the Hippodrome in Baltimore ....

Here's a great cut from Judy White, courtesy of Sir Shambling http://www.sirshambling.com/artists/judy_white/Judy%20White%20-%20I%27ll%20Cry.mp3. Apparently Judy is the daughter of blues giant Josh White.

I was doubting the ID attributed to that picture myself ... but the newspaper was definite that it was Patti Austin in the photo [[guess whoever forwarded it to them had badged it up incorrectly).
From the LP cover; the Sweet Cherries also seemed to be wearing very similar dresses for the concert. Guess the Isley's must have bought a job lot for their label mates.
