Mike, you sure have great taste in music. This was one of those unrated classics!

"Happy" has always been one of my favorites. The intro was always interesting. I wonder it if was intentional, or if it was chopped off due to tape damage or something.

But, I prefer the single edit. the album version just seems too long for me.

I love this song too, in fact the Hit Man lp is one of his best. Yes, the intro is rather strange, Frank Wilson did the same with If Anyone Can from that same lp.

While I love Eddie and his music, I maintain that one of the reasons he didn't get bigger was that he didn't have much stage presence as a soloist. He basically smiled and sang. Even the two ladies with him here could have used more animation
