Billboard Artist of the Year 2011

Can someone please explain to a poor confused Brit why/how Take That are at #37 & Roger Waters is at #52 in the Billboard Artist of the Year 2011?

The Top Artists were always a combination of the Top 100 Singles Chart and the Top 200 Album Chart.......my guess would be that those artists had a CD or two that lingered on the later chart all year or most of the year. Those charts are not what they were.........and lots of old CDS can end up on the album chart.

Take That's one & only appearance on Billboard was in 1995 - 16 years ago! How can they possibly be on 2011's list?
