The album is 'interesting' rather than 'captivating'. The material is 'safe', the band is great, Etta's performance is commendable, but her voice is not what it was. On the verge of being 'an album too far'. I played some tracks in my radio show, contrasting with the 1970s material on Kent's 'Losers Weepers' reissue, but the comparison isn't good.

That "Losers Weepers" LP was the BOMB.
