Loved this and have it on vinyl! BUT how can I afford all these CDs coming out? There is only SO much overtime I can do! No doubt I will continue to starve and ignore the power bills.he he..Paulo xxx

Maybe Andy knows but which version of Bonnie Pointer Red are we getting. The first pressing of this album has the non disco version of Heaven Must Have Sent You and a slower mix of Ah Shoot on it. The second issue once Heaven took off had the disco version and sped up Ah Shoot. There are probably other more subtile differences but I can't recall them at the moment. Which version will be on this CD?

I believe both versions will be on the new collection. Check with BBR to be sure!

I found this track listing from another site:

When I’m Gone
Free Me From My Freedom/Tie Me To A Tree [[Handcuff Me)
Heaven Must Have Sent You
Ah Shoot
More And More
I Love To Sing To You
I Wanna Make It [[In Your World)
My Everything

Bonus Tracks:
Free Me From My Freedom/Tie Me To A Tree [[Handcuff Me) [[12” Remix)
Heaven Must Have Sent You [[12” Remix)
Heaven Must Have Sent You [[7” Mix)
Free Me From My Freedom/Tie Me To A Tree [[Handcuff Me) [[7” Instru-Mental Mix)

I'm disappointed that the single vocal mix of Free Me From My Freedom is omitted.

I also enjoyed her version of "Come See About Me." I believe Mr. Gordy produced it for her if memory serves me correctly. I need to drag out the vinyl and refresh my memory.

Anyone knows the reason why she released only three solo albums in her whole career? Legal reasons with Motown? And why nothing after 1984?

Bonnie only did two lps for Motown and reportedly she and producer/hubby Jeffrey Bowen got into a legal entanglement with Gordy over royalties. Berry Gordy said in court that they threatened him physically. I think it all was settled but she went to another label and never had another hit

Was the threat to tie Berry to a tree, just handcuff him, or put a ball and chain on him?;)

Bonnie arrived in the mail today and I must say its a well put together package. Great essay, promo pics, and sound quality is pretty good. I couldve lived without the sped up Ah Shoot [[I swear someone played it at 45 RPM and thought, hey that works, and just stuck it on the second pressing with no further effort) or at least they couldve stuck the original mix on there but thats my only fault with it. Definetely pick it up if you ever enjoyed Bonnie....

Never been aware of that.

Too bad those two pics aren't in the booklet:

Actually the first pressings have*"Heaven Must Have Sent You" in the original version [[5:20). Latter pressings have the disco version [[7:00). In France this particular pressing wasn't with a red cover but with a white one. On this pressing but also on many pressings of the 12"s [[including the US Motown one) the timings were inverted.
