Is anybody aware of a compilation CD of the Artistics/ Marvin Smith at all? I've got a lot of their tracks but would like to know what's out there.Also, is "Time Stopped" on any CD set...thanks

Sorry Snake I've not got "Time Stopped"...as well as the afore mentioned CD, I've also got the CD's "[I Want You To] Make My Life Over" & "What Happened".

the Artistics "im gonna miss you" lp has recently been rereleased on CD and Vinyl...they are on e bay right now

Had the opportunity to speak with him during a radio interview @ 3 years ago. That was a thrill for me as I met him once @ 1967 while they were appearing at the Uptown in Philly.

As far as I'm aware "Time Stopped" has never appeared on a CD .. when I first joined the forum [[2003/4) I recall Kevin Goins [[Kevgo) stated that he was involved in an upcoming "Brunswick Rarities CD" project that was likely to include it, but sadly it never got off the ground.

There are two MARVIN SMITH solo efforts that I know that have made it to CD .. "Hold On" and "Have More Time" [[which was on the other side of "Time Stopped") ..

"Hold On" was on a UK released Westside CD called "We're a Lover" , which still seems to be available ..

"Have More time" was on the Deep Beats Northern Soul Dancefloor Classics Volume 2 CD which seems unavailable at present but I have found a blog about it ..

No sign of "Time Stopped" on Youtube [[not really "Northern" enough I guess) but luckily, I have a US Brunswick Demo 7" copy of "Have More Time"/"Time Stopped" so I can listen to it from time to time. :)

I really don't know much about the Artistics but I did find that Amazon has six CDs by them and a bunch of downloads. They are also on iTunes but not as good a selection.

Thanks for responses. I'm surprised that "Time Stopped" isn't on any Brunswick comp.....I do have a "copy" on a tape of Richard Searling's show from years back....but alas I don't have those tapes indexed/referenced so it would take time to locate.In fact, I'm sure he played it on that show at my request on behalf of a friend.......and I agree it's not on You Tube which is strange, as it's a fabulous track.

Hello there is a cd on TOTO label with 13 tracks by the Artistics plus other acts , great cd i think it is vol6 SOUL SOUL SOUL.try eBay ,you will enjoy this cd, cheers
