"Minstrel & Queen" wasn't a national hit but it was used to tempt the
audience in to see them on the show [[guess it must have done OK in DC)

Good point. However, "Gypsy Woman" from mid 1961, was long gone from the charts in spring 1962, when That Coasters' song and Barbara George's songs were charting. But, "Senorita I Love You" [[originally released in 1959 on VJ's Abner records subsidiary, was re-released on VJ records in early 1962 [[to ride the coattails of The Impressions' ABC success. That re-release actually sold quite well nationally. So, I could see why they put it on the bill [[as their current ABC release wasn't doing any better).

It did very well in d.c.the impressions were always favorites and all their songs were great with us!

A couple of weeks before they played Carrs Beach .....
.... they topped the bill at the Apollo in New York ...
