Deleting our own posts

Can we delete our own posts? IF so, how?

Yes, as I recall you go to Edit and there is an option to delete; somebody did it on a thread last week.

Yes, I just checked and within "edit", there is "delete".

Thanks. I just checked and found it. But it does not appear in threads that we originate even if no one else has posted in the thread. For instance, it is not in my first post above. I guess that only moderators can do that
