I read her book this past summer and she claims that she was forced to lie and hold that press conference in Tel Aviv because of her manager/husband Jack Gordon and the abuse that she would face if she didn't obey him. She says that basically Jack Gordon had arranged the entire press conference and she was driven to the location in a limo, not knowing where she was going or for what purpose. She said she was handed cue cards to read to the press. It does sound plausible, BUT when I watch the footage from that press conference, she looks like she's doing much more than just reading off of cue cards. Also, in her book she said she took a final stand against Jack Gordon when he was trying to force her to do a pornographic film. She said no matter what kind of abuse she would suffer, she had to stand her ground and maintain her dignity. But it makes me wonder why she didn't take a stand against him in 1993 in Tel Aviv? This is her brother. If she truly cared, she could have taken a stand against Jack Gordon on that issue as well.
Part of me want's to believe that LaToya was forced to do all of these things, but she continues to put herself out there in the media whenever she get's the chance, just like her brother Jermaine. I think she does want/need the attention. She even made herself look like her brother in the 90's.
However, I don't think we should be calling names, dianesfan, regardless of what she's done. Michael and LaToya reconciled and he loved LaToya up until his dying day. He would not want his fans disrespecting her.

I find it simply shocking how some people can be here on this fine forum, if you want to lead a bitter life that is your choice, but think sometimes if others want to share it. I am no fan of LaToya, but it is her life.
I love LaToya. She is perhaps the most gifted vocalist of our time.

No one really knows what type of situation she was in but I think if I was on television doing an interview like this I would had yelled "MOM and FAMILY protect yourself this man is going to try and kill you, PLEASE SECURITY can someone HELP me and gety me to SAFETY."

Did you all see that show where LaToya, once again feeding on MJ's fame, went to visit Bubbles the Chimp at the Chimp Rescue zoo? It was so damned funny I just about fell off the chair! LaToya was pretending to be all emotional, going on and on about how much she missed Bubbles, how she loved him--but it was clear she was actually terrified of him. She got close to the cage and Bubbles went after her---and it wasn't for a hug, either! Hee hee!! You couldn't make this crap up.

Watching LaToya on the celebrity Apprentice I was struck how simple minded and childlike she seemed. It was quite disconcerting to watch this baby voice come out of this 55 year old plastic faced woman's mouth. I think her only talent is milking publicity from her late brother's name.
LaToya Jackson is one of those fascinating trainwrecks you just have to watch ever time she's on TV.

Dionne was on that show? Darlene Love talks a lot about Dionne in her book--some good, some bad.

Oh yes she was. I lost a lot of the respect I had for her after witnessing her behaviour on Celebrity Apprentice. I used to be a huge fan of hers. I still am a fan to a degree, but she has disappointed me. I also got her book, "My Life: As I See It"...it was the biggest rip-off of all time.

I had not seen that before. Wow! LaToya is looking rather "bootylicious" in that clip LOL! I was startled to see Heavy D had regained so much weight after not seeing him for a while. Rest in Peace D. Thanks Stephanie

However, a lot of what Latoya says here now has the ring of truth!

They are an American Family.......something you wouldn't know anything about!
Michael will be remember for much, much more than how he died. He will be remember for what did while he lived.
