Oliver Sain moved to St. Louis in 1959. His first recordings there were made in the old Technisonic studio [[he cut Little Milton for the Bobbin label).
Ike Turner also used Technisonic which dated back to as early as 1929.
By the mid 60's lots of local soul acts were using Technisonic; an instance of this being Bob Kuban & the Inmen [["The Cheater" + more).
Oliver also worked with the likes of Albert King, Fontella Bass, Howling Wolf, Bobby McClure; many of these sessions also being at Technisonic.
However in 1966 [[?) he set up his own recording studio called Archway Studio [[located on Natural Bridge Boulevard, St. Louis). Here he started recording lots of soul, blues & gospel acts -- including the early recordings made by the Montclairs.

Anyone know which artists cut at his studio in the 1960's and which used other local studios [[the likes of Technisonic + others were still going strong in the 70's)
