Using Professor Mazzone’s new book, Copyfraud, as a springboard for discussion, the panelists will examine the challenges faced today by artists and music labels, the impact of digital technology, and reforms that can benefit the listening public.
About the Panelists
George Clinton is the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic, which were prominent during the 1970s and early 1980s. One of the most important innovators of funk music, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
Jason Mazzone , Gerald Baylin Professor of Law, teaches intellectual property law and constitutional law.
Michael Elkin ’84 is the managing partner of Winston & Strawn’s New York office and a widely recognized litigator who focuses on legal issues associated with emerging technologies.
