I recently heard 'Take It Home' by B.B. King, an album that he did with The Crusaders in the late 70's. The Jazz Crusaders [[same group, I think?) did Way Back Home in 1970, on Chisa [[distributed by Motown).

They sound like the exact same song, just with the lyrics changed! I don't have the B.B. King album but I wonder if the original songwriters were credited [[W. Felder, J. Bristol, G. Knight).

You can listen to a sound clip of Take It Home here: http://www.amazon.com/Take-Home-B-B-King/dp/B0000062Y6

and, of course, Jr. Walker's version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS3vg2ROs64

Such an awesome song by Junior; I think it's his best although What Does It Take will always be right in there.

I see online the BB King song is credited to Felder and Jennings.

Ahh, I just noticed that. Wilton Felder co-wrote the original. Makes sense, then.

Didnt Gladys Knight and Johnny Bristol get co-writing credit for writing the lyrics? I could be wrong, but seem to remember reading it someplace.....Paulo xxx

I gave a listen to the clip from Take it Home and there seems to be a very strong similarity.

There were a couple of additional names on at least one set of credits I saw; so Paulo, I think you might be right.
