There are some rather curious suggestions creeping in here as some of them definitely have intros and it is starting to make me wonder whether I've been listening to the same records as other members for all these years .. LOL ..
For example .. doesn't this have an intro ..
GEORGE DUKE .. "I Want You For Myself" ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unBfb2syL18
And this one became positively famous for its intro ..
FONTELLA BASS .. "Rescue Me" ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2SFhQDe1VE
Even "Jimmy Mack" has a few drum beats before MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS start to sing .. and personally I would call the first part of the song a "sung-intro" as the song doesn't really start until they sing "My Arms Are Missing You" ..
MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS - "Jimmy Mack" ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obvSFWvgBhg
Of course, it could be me who is totally misunderstanding what an "intro" is .. :) ..

I think a few might have posted their favorite intros rather than a song with no and an extremely brief intro. Certainly "In the Rain" is not my idea of a brief intro.
Another one that comes to mind is "I Thought it took a Little Time" by Diana Ross.

You're In Too Deep - Joe Tex [[not on Youtube)
All five of these start right in with the singing without a musical introduction. I suppose you could say it's a vocal introduction, but going with Jai's description of "tunes that just jump right out at you" I think they qualify.

If you are misunderstanding it, then you have company. I thought no intro meant that the singer just jumped in and started singing. In The Rain has a long intro of sound effect rain and some instrumental intro before the singing starts. Movin' by Brass Construction has a one minute instrumental intro before they sing "Got Myself Together"
