I heard it for the first time the other day and I think it is great! Go Freda!

Hi!

Isn't this the same song that Angelo Bond cut for his '75 Bondage album?

Best regards
Heikki

Dang, I was wondering why it sounded familiar to me, Heikki. You're absolutely right. Wtih the exception of Freda's closing
adlibbed lyrics about David Ruffin, Marvin Gaye as well as Michael Jackson, Amy Whinehouse, et al, it's the same song.
Gotta say as much as I've always loved Freda, I'm not especially crazy about her cover of this song. Still, I guess as someone who has been around as long as she has and whose seen so many come and go the song may have a special meaning for her. I'd love to hear more new music from her, I wish she'd collaborate with some of the current crop of great
jazz musicians on some material. After all, it is where she started:)....
Anyway, the original [[?) version of this song by Angelo....
