I just bought Daryl Hall's new solo album, "Laughing Down Crying" yesterday and it is flat-out awesome. I have all of Daryl's solo albums [[at least I think I do, I may need to re-visit that thought) and have loved all of them. I also have tons of Hall & Oates and love that, too.
Daryl is very reflective on this album, very touching liner notes as he recently lost his best friend and fellow guitar player T-Bone. Very well-written songs, top-notch production and sound, and Daryl's voice sounds great. His band is fine, too. I highly recommend this album.
* John Oates has a new album out, "Mississippi Mile" which is drawing good reviews, too. I plan on getting that one, also. The duo just keep cranking out great music as solo artists or as a duo.
