Hip-O Select is releasing a couple of new 4-CD box sets that may be of interest [[particularly the Etta James set) to some Soulful Detroit members.

Anyone who's really into Etta has most of these tracks. Who is willing to pay $59 for just a few songs that they don't have? The cover art is very boring as well. I’m looking forward to Ace Records new reissues of Etta’s albums on Chess like “Call My Name.”

Amazon UK have the Etta box at £70 & the Wolf at £92. Which effectively kill these items stone dead for me.

Universal owns the rights to so many great masters, including those from MGM. I *really* wish they'd reissue something classic that hasn't seen the digital light of day --- like the Sylvers I, II and III albums from the early 1970s. I would definitely pay $59 for those.
