RIP Mrs. Edwards. She was a very integral part & key player in making Motown Records not only a viable record company but an international force in popular entertainment.

I'm very sorry to learn this sad news. Mrs. Edwards was like an aunt to my brother and me. she was an extraordinary woman.

My heart goes out to Robin Terry and all of the members of the Gordy -- and Motown -- family in their sadness. Esther Gordy Edwards was a wonderful woman and her legacy will live forever. Please join me in extending your deepest sympathy to the Gordy family.
Esther -- we will never forget you.

Very sad to hear indeed. I asked about her when I visited Hitsville last year and the staff told me she wasn't doing very well then. May she rest in peace.
