A great medley from February 20, 1970 as Smokey Robinson and the Miracles appear on "Playboy After Dark":

marv2, terrific in every way - great stripped down presentation - highlights the great Marv Tarplin contributions in the life of the Miracles in the studio and on the stage.
I even like the cheese and pineapple skewers!
thanks for posting
cheers Mike

Totally in agreement! I've heard them play before live.

One thing I like about clips like these is I get to hear the Miracles. I love hearing them in a laid back setting like this I never really liked them when they sang to their records. Smokey has a very unique voice and although I am one of the ones who prefers early Miracles [[Going to a Go Go , Dance to Keep from Crying, Got a Job) this is excellent.

This was Smokey and the Miracles at their best! Singing live with real musicians. It is very rare to see or hear anything like it today.
