Whatever happened to Man of Music? If Nosey or Caesar can get in touch with him please tell him to start posting again. Though he was controversial at times his thread was still entertaining and informative.

Hi Ash, I was wondering the same thing. I used to occasionally run into him at various venues but I haven't been any where this summer. If I do see him, I'll encourage him to start posting again. You probably don't know this, but I grew up with him. He was in the neighborhood gang back in the sixties and he was a mean, rumbling, mofo! NOBODY messed with Man of Music cause he would eff you up! The character in the movie Cooley High reminds me of him. He was the guy with the perpetual scowl on his face that turns out the house party because Cochise is dancing with his girl. The next time the movie comes on, check that scene out and that was Man of Music back in the day! LOL!

I will do my best to get him back on.
I don't know if that description above was him.
I think he was and is very laid back.
As I said, I will do my best.

Love him or hate him, he did know his stuff, and it would be fantastic to hear from him again.

Best,

To be honest there are more than a few people I wish still posted on this forum whom I've enjoyed reading even if I didn't always agree with them but that's life...
Oh, and no offense, ceasar, but I think I'll take Nosey's word on M.O.M.'s M.O. back in the day. As she said, she grew up with him. Often I've found people to become different people with the passage of time. I remember watching a man be very
patient and very loving with a child having a tantrum and wondering "where was this man when I was growing up?" It was a
side I'd never seen from my father. Only his grandkids met this man...
Anyhoo, I just hope Man Of Music is well wherever he is...

Hello Everyone,
I don't want to bust anyones bubble.
M.O.M. is not who some people think he is.
I spoke with him early this morning after reading this thread.
He seems to be having trouble getting back on, I will do all that I can to help solve the problem.
I was with him from the very beginning, he will return. That's a fact.
It would really surprise some people if they knew who he really was.
He wishes to remain in the back ground.

Caesar, I KNOW who he is. His last name begins with a "C". As I stated, I remember him from back in the day and of course folks change as time wears on. What I wrote wasn't meant to be a put down just a fond remembrance of how it was back in the sixties when the Valley Gang ruled/protected our neighborhood. Even his writings on this board changed over time. Initially, he said some offensive things and got called out on them and as a result, there was a more gentler MOM. I don't doubt that he's laid back now but to reiterate what I said, as a teenager, NOBODY effed with MOM.

Also another confirmation besides him actually admitting to me who he was cryptically on this board, he was occasionally attending rehearsals to a play that I was participating in for a time of Mr. Hollywood's.

Perhaps there's two MOMs?

Hi Caesar, I don't know any of his relatives, sorry. I just know that he was a tough guy. I sorta had a crush on him; you know the bad boys that we women like but I knew that my father would have none of that so I salivated from afar. LOL!

Nosey,
Check out the EAGLES roster very closely?

Hi Caesar, I checked the roster and is the player by the last name of Rodgers-"C" whom you're referring to? If so, is there any connection to MOM since the "C" part is the same? As a matter of fact, he went by his last name and I have no clue what his first name is. [[I hope when he finally comes on board, he won't get any of the girls that used to hang with them like Chinese Linda or the Evans sisters to beat me up.) LOL!

Hi Nosey,
Hope your day is going well.
Did you check the EAGLES roster ?
Did you see what I was talking about?
Were you able to put it together.

Hi Nosey,
Hope you're having a good day.
Don't worry, we will get this together.
But the name I was hoping you would see begins with a C.

Caesar, the last names I see are Calvin, Celek, Chaney, Clayton, Coleman, Cole & Cooper. Those are not MOM's last name. The only name that comes close is the hyphenated last name of Rodgers-"C".

Hi Nosey,
I know this must be nerve racking,
But I'm trying to be low key as possible.
Without giving anything away to the masses.
Does this ring a bell.. CRO........ ?
We are on the same page, but we have to have a face to face.
Or make some kind of contact other then here without giving things away.
We will get it together.

Ceasar and Nosey... have you tried the Private message feature here? You can solve your dilemma easily without giving anything away to us unwashed masses. Click on the name of the person you want to write to on one of their posts, and you have the option to do one of several things, and one the options is Private Message.

Hope this helps!

Hi Caesar, we're on the same page. You and I are both correct and I stand behind my original post. As I stated it wasn't meant to be a put down just MY interpretation and many others in the hood at that time, that MOM was a bad mother shut your mouth!
