I am contemplating seeing Miss Dionne at the House of Blues in AC on July 22 and could use some guidance. I have been to AC numerous times but not in about the last 7 years and I understand it has changed drastically.
My understanding is that the HOB is located in the Showboat Casino at 801 Boardwalk. But I am just not remembering much about where that is. However, the main thing I need is tips on hotel/motel accommodations within walking distance to the show.
The rates I have seen so far to stay at the Showboat itself are in the $300 per night range and up, but I am just not a $300 a night kind of guy, not even for a special occasion. So even though that would be the most convenient thing to do, I am wondering if there are more reasonable non-casino options that would still be within walking distance. I am hoping there are some AC regulars on here who can offer some advice. Thanks.
