Aha, I am a big Arnold fan... I 've seen him a few times as he is a regular back up singer to James Taylor. He always brings the house down when he steps to the fore and delivers a part of "Shower The People". It's spine chilling, believe me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uokWBMU02Ug
I first encountered Arnold when I bought the album by Revelation on RSO. Brilliant album I have on my ipod to this day. I recommend it very highly, superb vocals.

Arnold is the man! Did you notice Steve Gadd on drums? He's drummer on so many great records as well as being part of Stuff. David Lasley, also on back up vocals is a wonderful soul singer / composer in his own right. He also was supporting vocals for Luther Van Dross, as well as background vocals on Sister Sledge and Chic! If you have not heard him, you'll be astonished when you hear this song he wrote, also recorded by Whitney Houston. Think Eddie Kendricks, Russell Thompkins Jr......... Here's David http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSevZus5DHU
And here's Whitney http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew7lVKVhjI0
Here's another video which shows how Arnold genuinely stuns audiences whenever he steps to the fore. In no way does he diminish James, and James ALWAYS ensures Arnold receives full recognition , as you will see in this clip.

And finally, a little insight into the tightness of the back up singers for James

Here's more quality Arnold FREE BIRD acappella
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfGnuzbOmow
then live Arnold with Benjamin Taylor, son of James Taylor
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M49hOu_o4Q
Next, Arnold with actor Paul Giamatta on Otis Redding's Try A Little Tenderness
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2BvFqnB56k
AND FINALLY, Obama's Inauguration where Bettye Lavette also performed so brilliantly. In this clip, James is great both singing and playing, Arnold starts his customary part, and then gives way to John Legend, before coming back in. I'll let you decide if Arnold should have been given the entire spot he OWNS!

I can't leave this off, with Valerie Carter, Katie Markovitz, David Lasley and ARNOLD MCCULLER harmonising so wonderously with JT . What a demonstration of harmony in every sense! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p18qu4Te9j4
