The Dynamic Superiors were certainly given ample opportunity by Motown. Four LPs over four years time is a fair shake.
Wiki is vague with little info about them ....how they charted, what singles were chosen .. etc...

So .....DS aficionados, out of eight sides of music .....which one album cut [whether it was a single or not] is to you the group's stand-out?? Is there that one certain one that especially shines? ...that maybe should've made them a household name?

Let's fish it out and give it a listen !

.....secondary thoughts ....what hampered their ability to break-out. What could they have done differently ?

Here is my one album cut for each of the four albums

Shoe Shoe Shine - The Dynamic Superiors [[1975)
Hit and Run Lovers - Pure Pleasure [[1975)
Looking Away - You Name It [[1976)
either Happy Song or Here Comes That Feeling Again - Give and Take [[1977)

In theory I should enjoy their music more than I do but often I find the high voice just grates on me so not easy to listen to. That said their 4 albums have all been released on CD and this seems to be a promotion video by Soul Music Records for the expanded re-issue of "Give and Take" - probably the better of their albums. There's a track called "Don't Give Up On Me Baby" on "Pure Pleasure" [[I think) which does have something.

Boogie, here are my two cents' worth of Dynamic Superiors tracks that I can recommend. [[I didn't like their second album [["Pure Pleasure") at all nor their third album [["You Name It"). I can only promote their first album "Dynamic Superiors" and their 4th [[final) album, "Give & Take".

Boogie, I included all of the tracks from the two [[and ONLY two) of the Dynamic Superiors' 4 albums that I like, as I figured that many of the Forum members had probably never heard them and I wanted to share my favorite tracks with them. But if you insist that I narrow it down to just a few favorites, let's go with "Shoe Shoe Shine" from their first Ashford & Simpson-produced album, and "Nowhere To Run" [[Long LP version) from their 4th and final HDH production.
