This is very sad news...you really don't know how bad it is until it hits close to home. My last uncle, who died on my birthday three years ago, had it and was in hospice care for quite some time. I've always enjoyed Glen's music and wish him nothing but the best.

Best,

Mark

I also have always enjoyed Glenn's music. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Sad news indeed. I've always enjoyed Glen - what a great vocal range and tonal quality, especially in the sixties and seventies. Glen Campbell and Jimmy Webb songs, a masterly combination! And don't forget he was a top session guitarist in the sixties - the number of hit tracks he played on is amazing - let alone being a Beach Boy for a short while.

I really loved his 2008 album 'Meet Glen Campbell', where he recorded contemporary songs arranged in the traditional Glen Campbell hit style. A great listen, albeit rather ruined by a 'too loud' mix/processing to make it sound 'modern'!

If anyone is a Glen Campbell fan his early albums were masterpieces including songs Wheres the Playground Susie, and The Dreams of the Everyday Housewife. One of his best examples of his guitar work is a song called If This is Love. I miss his show it was quite good. Jimmy Webb is probably to Glen what Dionne Warwick was to Burt Bachrach. Glen get better.

Glen Campbell is in this early Shindig clip. What I find interesting is if you look at the Blossoms Edna Wright is filling in for her sister Darlene Love I had never seen this happen before.
