A new review of Surrender - Diana Ross [Archive]

I have always thought this was one of her better albums! I can listen to this one more so than I can the first one where she looks like a third world child on the cover. Everything is Everything coverwise is the Ross we know and love but Surrender is where the VOICE shows! If I were to pick a single off of Everything is Everything I would have picked My Place and promoted the heck out of it. What amazes me about both albums is when Ross went solo on her albums you heard more backgrounds than ever more so that with the Supremes. Did you Read the Morning Paper is the best song on the whole album and it would have made for a good promotional video.
