It’s all hearsay. If she was ill, I don’t believe it was serious as some on here made it out to be. Her children were clearly having fun posting on their social media accounts the weekend of the Grammys when she was supposedly so ill she couldn’t attend.

Cheers brad. It seems far more likely she just chose not to attend. Diana has never been sentimental regarding the Supremes, but wise enough to realise folks still want to hear those classic songs.

BlueBrock has always been a voice of reason and insight. I take his word for it, but I still don’t understand why someone else from the family did not appear.

Thank you Roberta. I was told she had been under the weather for several weeks. She was most certainly not a well lady during her UK tour last year and she cancelled a couple of TV slots as a result. Perhaps she has been struggling to regain her strength during the Winter months. I have not had an update for a while so i do not know the current state of her health.

Thank you Sir. I did not want to get involved in this toxic subject again but it is obviously not going away anytime soon. If her people tell me she was unwell i am happy to take their word for it. They appear to have been honest and upfront with me in the past and i had no reason to doubt them on this occasion.
Hopefully she can honour the handful of commitments recently announced. Only time will tell.
Take care and stay safe.

I think labelling speculation as toxic a little overly dramatic. That award meant one hell of a lot to Supremes fans around the world so think it only natural feelings of disappointment and being let down will linger when the subject comes up.
No media outlet has ever reported Diana as having been ill, so why would one just assume?.
Your view, and i quote was that she left the group 53 years ago so why should she have bothered turning up. That being a view i and many others happen to disagree with.
You previously mentioned that Diana had felt unwell last year due to suffering throat problems, but didnÂ’t know why she had not attended the Grammy ceremony.
Has that view now suddenly changed and your telling us she has definitely been suffering from ill health this year???. If so that’s the first i have heard you mention it.
I for one am getting rather confused.

I would not know if Diana Ross was ill recently and is now better to perform at an after Oscar ceremony. Only she really knows that. She also did not appear at the Grammys for her nomination, which she lost. She also was not there for to celebrate Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson. One would think if someone was well, that trifecta of a Lifetime Achievement Award, A Grammy Nomination and celebrating two people who you are very close to personally and professionally you would just show up. It would seem that would be a reason to make an appearance and ill health is a possible excuse for not doing so.

There’s logic to this thinking - maybe there was an illness that lingered a week or so and she got over it - flu, colds or Covid. When you travel these days, getting sick is common and some of these ailments seem to come back again and again

and she didn’t just miss the Supremes event, but two others that she would have been expected to attend. A lot of people are avoiding crowds right now with all the bugs going around. at some point she had transportation scheduled, but my friend has not been able to find out when the ticket was canceled. in any event, I am really just happy to be able to discuss her attending different places - we don’t have that luxury with all Supremes and I am counting my blessings.

Agree - surprised at what exactly was included in her set

But that light blue dress or whatever it is, is not very becoming

I usually don't pay much attention to her gowns, but i do remember the blue gown from one her concerts that i attended quite a few years ago. It took me a few minutes to realize that this wasn't a strapless gown, but that the top of it from the neck down was flesh colored

I am beginning to like the green dress. Seems a comfortable dress to perform in. Although, personally, I would prefer her to have the same dress made in comforting Royal Blue. The green dress does remind me of green algae washed ashore onto a tan sandy beach.lol
She is having fun and performing well in this recent concert video clip.

It seems like, as usual, NO ONE had any fun at all at a sold-out Diana Ross event :o. The black gown, RIGHT?? The voice is a miracle and the lady is just wonderful. As usual The Toads come out in force and croak their BS. What can we say? They'll never stop trying. Another great performance by one of the all-time greats. Rock on, Diana!

What no Ross haters or morons this time around. It must be hard to imagine anyone having the audacity to dislike a Diana frock. Some people take this free speech, own opinion malarkey just a little to far at times.

Not crazy on that green dress either. Would love to see a collection of all the outfits Diana has worn over the years. Must amount to quite a large number methinks.

I'm just now reading about all of this. There was no indication to report Diana was sick. She's private, yes, but anything suggesting illness was probably trying to make critics feel guilty for wondering why she was a no-show at the Grammys ceremony honoring the Supremes' Lifetime Achievement Award win.

Some fans just took this totally unfounded sick theory and ran with it. It was then mentioned the reason Diana hadn’t sent a representative being she was so ill her children dare not leave her side. All of this totally unsubstantiated by any reports whatsoever. To think otherwise was being negative. A case of fandom overkill methinks. :)

Yeah that was a little nuts lol if she was sick, she definitely could've sent SOMEBODY! She's as much a Supreme as Flo and Mary were.

It was definitely mentioned if worded slightly different.
