Today, March 8, 86 years ago, Miss Ray, was born.

Think of some pleasant thoughts of the impact she had on Motown Records.

And to top it off, this release [which I like very much] was the first release on the VIP label. It was also included as a "bonus track" on Motown Year by Year 1964. Released in mono only.

Mike Montella's real name is "Mike Ossman" who was Miss Ray's brother. "Miss Ray" or "Miss Motown" was running the New York office. At this time Mike Ossman also a Motown "Jobete writer" and working at the NYC offices for Ray would produce demo's for the song's he had written. Mike Ossman was also mentioned a number of times in Raynoma Gordy Singleton's book.
