Great article of an even greater engineer. SD is fortunate to have his talent with us.

Great article! But, Tom, if you're reading this, I gotta tell you: don't be upset about "Dancing Queen". You made the right call on it the first time! Don't second-guess your judgement! :) Some songs do not to be lengthened.

Philly Re-Grooved 2, also featuring gems from Terry Collins and Loose Change, will precede the Dutch release of a Philly International Records boxset which Tom has spent a considerable length of time helping package.

Hi Tom, is there any news of the release of this boxset? Until now I have not seen this in our Dutch shops.

Hi Jack, The PIR box is scheduled for the beginning of next year [[G & H 40th) I am still working on it and have about 9 songs to finish. This really takes me back with so many memories to deal with. At times it seems like it was just yesterday.

Thanks Tom,
one more question:
the Disco Gold cd is only about 68 minutes. Why were there not more tracks from vol.2 on it?

They asked if I had a copy of the Master of volume 2 which I did not. It was Mastered at Media sound and it must have been left there. If I had known I would have taken it. I know now a lot of the tapes that were left there and it makes me sick! The multis to Ace Spectrum albums for one.

Hi Tom
My name is Abraham Smooth Wilson and I have an inquiry.
What would have happened to all of those multi masters left at Media Sound?
Please don't tell me they were probably discarded!!!
I was fortunate to have recorded 13 songs there and I retrieved my Masters.
I also did some recording at the Power Station.

Hi Abraham, The tapes that were left there ended up in the land fill of the Fortunoff's parking lot in long Island. I didn't find out until after it happened.

Hi Tom
Thanks for the reply.
The disposing of the Masters like that is a crying shame.
Like throwing works of art in the trash!
