VOCALS!!!! That's how it's done! She is marvelous -- still beautiful and a remarkably well-preserved instrument. Chante's sending all the new auto-tune girls home for some quiet contemplation. I can't believe "Precious" was released 30 years ago, I was obsessed with her. I hope we get a special reissue for its anniversary -- she had some great live performances from that era.

She's one of my absolute favorite singers. She could give lessons to a whole lot of today's singers.
