Nice. I wish Apple Music would follow suit.

It's nice to see those finally get re-released. They were created by Junias Griffin. Griffin had been the first black reporter for the New York Times before he became Martin Luther King's speech writer. My dear friend Larry Miles edited the recordings to fit on an LP. Larry worked with each speaker to make absolutely sure none of the meaning got lost.

These albums were my proudest accomplishment. As much as I loved the music, it made me furious that none of these geniuses I was working beside were allowed to rise any higher in American society. Racism cost us all the benefit of their incredible talent.

Great to hear from you Bob - someone so closely associated with these releases - and congratulations on your achievements with these. I'd enjoy having all of them on official CD - would be amazing as a boxed set in mini-LP sleeves.

Times were different I know, but we did get a Motown CD years ago in the "Compact Command Performances" series on Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

Sad to say, times weren't that different. Dr. King's recordings were donated to the King family so they could control their use and raise money with them.
