I am not joking.

I am asking based on your experiences for the modern DR concerts and would it be worth it if I got to go to one if she returns to the Detroit/Toledo area?

I just feel a little nervous going to one, and it's not because of last year's April Fools joke. My friend assumes his mom thinks DR is inappropriate, but I think MJ was more crass than Diana ever done even with chain recation and stuff. Besides she sings some clean Supremes songs worst is Stop and if thats the worst than it would be a fun time.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't go if I were you. Diana is very well aware of your April Fools prank. The minute she spots you, she will be yelling at you and most likely will call your mother on you.

Go see Mo’Nique - she doesn’t sing at all and she’s lots of fun!

Diana Ross shows are complete raunchfests and they're extremely vulgar. That's why there are so many threads about her setlist being so stale. Fans are tired of the relentless obscenity that is a Diana Ross concert and wish she'd mix it up and tone it down. Years ago Millie Jackson attended a Ross concert and even she was shocked at how nasty Ross' show was. And it's not uncommon for the police to shut down a Ross concert as an offense to community morals. Unless you have a strong stomach for such material I wouldn't go if I were you.

I guess this is some kind of inside joke or someone trying to rile someone else up because I have attended a Diana Ross show and have read about her on here for years and this is the first I have ever heard of her show being the least bit offensive.

ok ok so it's not a joke and I won't go. I guess it's not clean enough to the point where a certian drag queen poked DR like the Pillsbury Doughboy, slapped, and flipped off her. and I know not all diana ross songs are good. look at love child and chain reaction.

i mean when was the last time a Ross concert was actually....good? Perhaps the few who enjoyed RTL probably were the last to witness Diana's last hurrah at decent concert and RTL was nowhere decent for the fans.

Kinda sad to not see Diana Ross perform live in her or my lifetime ever because of her raunchy concerts and her fans behavior as well as my own...

Being real for a second...

If you haven't already...go see her show. You may regret it one day.

There's only one accurate statement in your quote above. Diana's concerts are not raunchy [[first time I have heard that accusation) her fan's behavior is loving to her and to the other fans, even the ones they do not know) And then there is your own behavior. Hmmmm!! I think you made a wise decision not to attend. Thanks

Well I would attend if you would stop joking with me! I am being dead serious asking for all of your opinion. It has nothing to do with my April Fools joke or what she "did" to Florence Ballard, it has to with seeing a show for the first time. I like her songs, and it would be nice seeing the last original founding Supreme perform her best songs. I want to have a great time and I am sick of this behavior of everyone.

Please be honest and I want your REAL thoughts.

I think a Julie Andrews concert with Little Jimmy Osmond as the opening act would be more suitable for you.

Or Up With People, once they resume touring.

Diana Ross concerts are nothing but pornography set to music.

I was glad I wore my pearls when I saw her in 2019.....I clutched them several times in disbelief of what I was seeing on stage!

Yes....go see her.
