"Do it Easy" is a song on The Temptations "Milestone" album and was written by Bob Farrell, Bobby Smith and Ron Tyson.

Discogs has that Bobby Smith is he of The Spinners fame and I find it fascinating that he would be involved here. However other sources say it's a Bobby Joe Smith so a different person. Who is correct?

Anyhow here's the song

Hey mystery! Good question.

I have a feeling that it’s not Bobby Smith of The Spinners. I don’t think Bobby was much of songwriter… on Discogs he only has one other writing credit, and that’s from 1961.

You are right that Discogs credits Bobby on its webpage. However, if you view pictures of both the CD and vinyl versions of the album, he is not actually listed as a writer…

So, it may just be an error!? :D

Nice song btw, although I think "Corner Of My Heart" is my favourite from this album.

Bobby Smith of The Spinners seems to be written Bobbie Smith. I doubt it is the same person. GEMA also has a Bobby Joe Smith down as the registered songwriter.

Thanks for the input folks. Pretty much as I assumed.

I don't play these later Tempt's albums often enough but I'm not a huge fan of the later Tempts with synthetic instruments lol. There are some good songs though. "Corner" is a good one too.

I don't think you can have too much Bobby Smith [[Spinners) though.
