Interesting story about Berry Gordy and Motown in Washington Post. Berry is a Kennedy Center honoree and will be honored this Sunday. The event will be broadcast on CBS at a later date. I wonder which Motown artists will be there to honor him

I wouldn't be surprised if Diana, Smokey, and Stevie take part. Interesting that all three of them are Kennedy Center honorees.

The tribute to Motown founder Gordy featured Smokey Robinson, Andra Day and the cast of Ain’t Too Proud: The Life And Times of the Temptations. Although Stevie Wonder, with the finale, called a brief halt to reset the production [[he even sang, “We’re getting this right,” as the audience waited), the wait was worth it: Superstition, followed by the capper, Higher Ground.

Smokey and Stevie were there, but no Diana. CBS will broadcast it December 22d. And a return to tradition with the President of the United States attending the event.

I read that David Letterman lit Spanky's ass up immediately, saying something to the effect that it was nice to have a President back in attendance in the observers' box...and in the Oval Office.;)

Yes, someone posted that the cast of "AIN'T TOO PROUD" also participated.
