My dream : the voice of Gladys over the Norman Whitfield production he did for the Truth ... i don't like the voice of Billy Rae Calvin [[ at least on lead )

Easily, Gladys Knight & The Pips. Of course, I played that album constantly so I am extremely familiar with that version. Undisputed Truth has an interesting track but I am not fond of the vocals.

I don't like the Phyllis Wilson version. The Undisputed Truth version is prettv good, but I still prefer the Gladys Knight & the Pips.

I want to hear that but I'm having problems trying to find it. I've never heard this group
for some reason. I see according to Discogs that they've also covered EWF's Evil. Now that, I have to hear!... It's not showing up on youtube, though, strangely enough...

I agree. Gladys's vocals are in a different league to whoever is singing on the Undisputed Truth version.
In fairness Gladys is in a different league to practically everyone, but for me it's Gladys all the way.
