Further to the recent post talking about Stevie Wonder recording "Castles in the sand" in French, are there further French recordings from Stevie or anyone else and any other yet to be released foreign language recordings?

The Velvelettes did some French recordings that were released a while back on the MOTOWN AROUND THE WORLD collection. The other recordings on that set are in Italian, German, and Spanish. There may very well be more left in the vault.

In Martha Reeves & the Vandellas 50th Anniversary The Singles Collection 1962-1972, there are two foreign Spanish singles:

Yo Necesito De Tu Amor [[I'm Ready for Love)
Jimmy Mack

These two releases are NOT included in MOTOWN AROUND THE WORLD.

This is all that's been released and probably ever will be. I have no record of Stevie recording 'Castles in the Sand' in Spanish or any other language.

Interesting information. I was never aware that an expanded edition was subsequently released. I looked at the discogs data and there are a total of 13 of these up for grabs,
however, all are from overseas countries. None available from US sellers. It must not
have been publicized terribly in the US.

I think it was initially released only via Hip-O-Select.
