I get a monthly newsletter showing new Jasmine Record releases from the UK.

This was on the one I received today. Looks interesting.

Eddie HOLLAND - From Mercury To Motown 1958-1962
JASCD1122 CD £8.99

From Mercury To Motown traces the singing career of Eddie Holland, one third of the legendary Holland-Dozier-Holland trio of songwriters / producers that created some of Motown's biggest hits.

This 23 track package includes his solo recordings made for the Mercury, Kudo, United Artists and Motown labels between 1958 and 1962.

Included is his Top 10 r&b hit from 1961 'Jamie' and all the tracks on his eponymous solo album, Eddie Holland issued in 1962.

Woodwood, we already have the wonderful 56 track Ace compilation "It Moves Me". If you don`t have it I advise you to get this one. There are plenty available on line.

The Jasmine set leaves out my two favorite Eddie Holland tracks -- "Just Ain't Enough Love" and "Candy To Me" -- both singles from 1964, as well as "Leaving Here" from 1963.

Yeah, 144man, I know. 1958-1962. It's just that leaving out Eddie's three best 1963-64 Motown tracks seems such a shame. I agree with Roger [[above) that the 56-track ACE version containing ALL of Eddie's Motown product was the perfect way to go.
